Trio A Due.<\/strong> Not one voice, but two. Two voices \u2013 Two hands \u2013 Three sounds –<\/strong> uniting with rare charm and artistry to delight modern audiences. Like the witches in Goethe\u00b4s Faust who made three from two through their sorcery, these musical magicians enchant their listeners with the bewitching blend of Almut Seebeck\u00b4s clear lyric soprano, the warm timbre of Felicitas Weyer\u00b4s natural mezzo, and her expert piano accompaniment.<\/p>\n Their critical acclaim and popularity reflects the rare warmth they evoke in their audiences with their musical magic.<\/p>\n Trio A Due have performed all over Germany; a burgeoning international career has taken them so far, all over Europe, Vietnam, Australia (Opera House Sydney) and New Zealand.<\/p>\n Trio A Due received the inaugural award of the German Niggemann Foundation for talented artists. Almut Seebeck – Soprano<\/strong>, whose maternal ancestors came from Bohemia, was born in Bremen, Germany. She completed her studies in medicine and vocal training with Ingeborg Hallstein, Karl-Heinz Jarius, Charlotte Lehmann, Ingrid Bjoner on a scholarship by the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes, scenic studies with Christof Loy. Felicitas Weyer – Mezzosoprano & Piano, <\/strong>born in Erlangen, Germany, into a family of musicians, studied piano with Norman Shetler, Marta Sosinska and Andrzej Jacinski. Die Frage, wie zwei Interpretinnen ein Trio bilden k\u00f6nnen, l\u00f6st sich schnell, wenn man die beiden international erfolgreichen S\u00e4ngerinnen mit dem hochenergetischen Potential auf der B\u00fchne agieren sieht und h\u00f6rt: Almut Seebeck, Sopran & Rezitation, und Felicitas Weyer, Mezzosopran & Piano. Das TRIO A DUE ist ein in dieser Besetzung einmaliges Ensemble. Der Dreiklang zu zweit ist f\u00fcr Almut Seebeck und Felicitas Weyer die nat\u00fcrlichste Sache der Welt, und so sehen das auch die erstaunten H\u00f6rer ihres anspruchsvollen Liedprogramms. CD-Einspielungen und Rundfunk-\/Fernsehproduktionen machten sie einem breiten Publikum bekannt. Ihr Repertoire umfasst Hildegard von Bingen, Purcell, H\u00e4ndel, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Dvorak, Brahms, Rachmaninow, Musik des 20. Jahrhunderts (Britten, Quilter, Grainger, Ives, Cage, Glass), eigens f\u00fcr das Trio entstandene Kompositionen australischer Komponisten (Lloyd,Vella). Einen weiteren Schwerpunkt bilden die eigenen Arrangements von Barockarien, Zigeunerliedern, Keltischen Traditionals, Jazz-Standards, eine Hildegard-von-Bingen-Performance sowie Jiddische Lieder. \nThe Trio\u00b4s duo-repertoire (sic) ranges from the tragic and serious to a delicious and communicative frivolity. Their repertoire embraces Lieder and Duets by Hildegard von Bingen, Purcell, Handel, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Brahms and Dvor\u00e1k, Ives, the minimalistic adventures of Philip Glass and and compositions by the Australians Robert Lloyd and Richard Vella dedicated to Trio A Due. A special feature of their music-making has been the development of a new repertoire of Italian Arie Antiche, Celtic Traditionals , Yiddish Songs, Gypsy Songs and Jazz Standards arranged by Felicitas Weyer expressing the two artist\u00b4s full range of emotions.
\nThe Trio A Due can be heard on CDs with Lieder by Brahms, Dvor\u00e1k, Rachmaninov, Glass, Christmas Carols and their arrangements of Italian Arie Antiche, Celtic Traditionals , Yiddish Songs, Gypsy Songs and Jazz Standards.
\nNumerous sound portraits of the Duo have been broadcasted, but even the professionalism of these recordings cannot quite catch the full atmosphere of them live \u2013 two beautiful women in complete harmony with each other and their music, like the two sisters in the Brahms\u00b4 duet of that title which they sing with such joy.<\/p>\n
